Tam Carrigan has had and adventurous career going from armed robbery to journalism in a body of work that has covered resistance, riots, political, dissidents and war. He joined the Kurdish Human Rights project as a volunteer photographer in 2005 and went to Halabja to photograph survivors of the chemical bombings.
He remained there for eight years and returned to Britain to raise thousands of pounds from the sale of his works to build children's adventure playgrounds in Iraq, Kurdistan and more recently in Tottenham.
