Paddy Maguire

A journey of transformation, showcasing the resilience and creativity of an inspiring artist.

Meet the artist

Paddy was 14 years old when sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. The youngest of his family who became known as the Maguire 7, who were falsely accused of IRA pub bombings. The family were exonerated in 1991 after many years in prison and it was after that Paddy turned to art to help deal with his childhood trauma.

His works deal with this in a striking manner, showing the healing power of art and it's ability to transform negative experiences in to positive.
